2016 Leadership Summit
We are excited this year to have Michele Gross from Homeschool Life as our guest speaker. You may already know that Homeschool Life is a website hosting company for many homeschool groups large and small across the country. Many of you have your group's website hosted by Homeschool Life. They will be offering specialized training in getting the most out of your Homeschool Life-hosted website. So please bring at least one person (or more) who maintains your website. And we recommend that you be able to access your website during the Homeschool Life training. So you must pre-register by July 20th to receive a WiFi password to the Louisiana College network. Here's an invitation from Michele Gross herself:
Even with Homeschool Life present, the majority of the local leaders will go through specific multi-part leadership training that you will find very helpful in the administration of your local groups. We will also have a session designed for each board member (president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer) to discuss responsibilities and share ideas.
This event is designed for all leaders of local homeschool support groups, whether serving on the board or not. Those being considered for leadership roles are welcome. So bring your whole team!
Our goal is for you to leave with new information, and new inspiration for the job that lies before you this year as a leader.
Louisiana College is allowing us to lodge on their campus for our Leadership Summit. These are dormitory or apartment style rooms, and all rooms have twin beds. You will need to bring bed linens and pillows, as well as towels and washcloths. We can accommodate families of all sizes, so be sure to let us know how many are coming when you register. If you wish to stay off site (in a hotel, or if you are local, at your home), let us know when you register
KIDS PROGRAM at SUMMIT
Be sure to bring your kids along for this weekend. We will have an exciting and fun-filled program for your children.
All meals are eaten with the parents in the dining hall. The day starts and ends together as a family unit, so plan to bring the kids.
We hope you can attend this year's Summit and we expect you will leave encouraged and equipped for the homeschool year ahead.
