Could this be our last year of home school!
Washington and the whole country – including many of us -
Folks, we can survive a poor economy! We all know it will eventually get better. We can even deal with a crummy health care bill. Worst case scenario is that we may just have to trust God for our health for a while. But what happens if we don’t pass the Parental Rights Amendment? What happens if we don’t stop the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)?
Simply put -
But it’s not just about home schooling! It gets worse. We could be the last generation of Americans to get our values and our faith from our parents. Court decisions are already citing international law (UNCRC) and preventing parents from bringing their children to church with them or otherwise “interfering” with their children’s right to privacy, freedom of access to information and freedom of association.
What they’re really saying is that the First Amendment gives you “Freedom of Religion” so you can worship as you please – you just can’t take your kids with you. It also gives you “Freedom of Speech” so you can stand on the street corner and preach the Gospel if you want – you just can’t teach it to your children!
… and these are just a couple examples of what we’re facing. How do we stop this insanity?
If you haven’t already done so go to parentalrights.org immediately and educate yourself, sign the petition, sign up as a 10 and 2 volunteer, and join us for our Constitution Week Campaign to let Washington know we’re just as serious about Parental Rights as we are about the economy and health care. After all, aren’t our children at least as important as our money and health?
September 17 will mark the 222nd anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. To celebrate, parentalrights.org has planned a major push in the campaign for parental rights. This is a nationwide campaign but we in Louisiana have to do our part. During the week of September 14th, call and email your Senators and Congressmen and let them know you’re counting on them to support the Parental Rights Amendment and stop the UNCRC’s ratification.
Whenever we needed CHEF members to “shut down the switchboard” with calls or “crash a web site” with emails you have always come through. Together we have saved our right to be a family the way God intended many times over the last 20 years. This time is about as serious as anything we have ever faced before – maybe more so. Let’s show them one more time what our priorities are!
Please see the list of contact information for all the Louisiana Senators and Congressmen below. During Constitution Week, September 14th through 18th call and email every one of them and urge them to support the parental rights amendment and take a stand against the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
