Group Leaders: Your Part
To continue to be a member group of CHEF of Louisiana, each year groups must renew their membership with CHEF of Louisiana. This should be completed before October 31st of each year. Membership runs from September 1 to August 31st of each year. The renewal form can be found here.
Annual Leadership Summit
CHEF of Louisiana hosts a leadership summit to facilitate sharing and communication between leaders of local groups. The summit is a two-day event with leadership training, great food, and time for sharing amongst local leaders. Topics normally include membership retention, newsletter, group activities, leadership development, website development, group communication, and much more. For more information click here.
The annual homeschool convention is held each spring, and offers a variety of speakers and workshops to instruct and inspire families to excellence in their homeschooling endeavors. Legislative updates highlight changes in laws or regulations that apply to homeschooling or to families. The schedule of events is designed to offer something for homeschool veterans and newcomers alike.
A Business Meeting is held during the convention. A representative of the board of each local group is expected to attend for voting on business matters. All leaders of local groups are invited to an Appreciation Luncheon on Saturday. For more convention details click here.
